Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What if I can't make it to class?
A: If you are unable to attend your scheduled time, kindly give 24 hours notice.
You may make it up in any other session, provided there is an empty reformer. Sessions missed will
NOT carry over to the next session. No exceptions.
Q: What is a Reformer?
A: A Reformer is a piece of equipment designed by Joseph Pilates, that provides resistance and movement to performed exercise.
Q: What should I wear to class?
A: Wear comfortable but snug fitting clothing.
Instructors are always looking for proper form and alignment.
Sometimes it can be hard to see, when you are wearying very baggy clothing.
Q: How often should I be doing Pilates?
A: The ASCM recommends that you do resistance training 2-3 days per week. Reformer Pilates DEFINITELY falls into that category.
Q: Will I break a sweat?
A: Yes!
Q: Will I be sore?
A: Most likely. DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness) is when you are sore from exercising the next day or two.
Sometimes the second day is worse than the first, but you will experience it as a "good" feeling.
